2025 John Tierney Award
Congratulations Michael Platt on winning our 2025 John Tierney Award!
Michael Platt is a tireless advocate for ASU members at Sydney Water.
A leading delegate, he was instrumental in securing the last Sydney Water Enterprise Agreement and is now driving recruitment and shaping the next Log of Claims.
His leadership transformed his worksite into a near closed shop, while his role in the historic Role and Roster Review delivered mammoth pay rises.
As a respected Health and Safety Representative, Michael ensures safety remains central in one of Australia’s most hazardous workplaces.
His commitment makes him a worthy recipient of the 2025 John Tierney Award.
